Terms of Service
Last updated: May 10, 2026
Mimzie is a private AI companion you can talk to about anything. These Terms cover your use of the Mimzie app, this website, the beta program, and anything else we provide (together, the "Services"). The Services are provided by Mimzie, Inc. ("Mimzie," "we," "us"). By using the Services, creating an account, or joining the beta, you agree to these Terms.
Mimzie is early. These Terms may change as the app changes. The most current version will always live on this page.
Important: not an emergency service
Mimzie is not a doctor, therapist, counselor, crisis line, or healthcare provider. Mimzie does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or monitor any medical or mental health condition. Using Mimzie does not create a professional-patient relationship.
If you are in danger or thinking about hurting yourself or someone else, call 911, 988 in the United States, or your local emergency number. Do not delay real treatment, professional advice, or emergency help because of something Mimzie says.
Who can use Mimzie
You must be at least 18 years old to use Mimzie. By continuing in the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and have the legal authority to agree to these Terms.
About the Services
Mimzie is an AI companion for private reflection, conversation, and saved memory. It is meant to support you, not replace people or professional care.
The Services include account sign-in, encrypted chat and memory sync, on-device AI responses, notifications, subscriptions, beta access, customer support, product email, first-party telemetry, and this website.
To enable new features and fixes, you agree to download and install updates to the Services. You are responsible for the data and carrier fees on the device you use to run Mimzie.
Privacy
Mimzie does not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data, conversations, or memories. Read our Privacy Policy to see what we collect and how the app protects chat and memory data. To run the Services, you agree to the data practices described there.
Your account
You may need an account to use the app. You agree to give accurate information, keep your device and account secure, and tell us if you think your account has been compromised. You are responsible for what happens through your account or device.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use, or help anyone use, the Services to:
- break the law or violate someone else's rights;
- harass, threaten, exploit, or abuse another person;
- send spam, bulk messages, or automated requests;
- attack, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Services;
- try to access accounts, systems, keys, or data without permission;
- sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services;
- upload malware or harmful content;
- post private, sensitive, health, financial, or confidential information to public feedback areas;
- misrepresent who you are or falsely report emergencies.
Your content
You own what you put into Mimzie. You give Mimzie a limited license to process your information only as needed to run, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the Services as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy. That covers things like generating replies, syncing encrypted records, creating saved memories, providing support, and handling safety and abuse issues.
We do not claim ownership of your private conversations or memories. We do not use readable conversations or readable memories for advertising. If a feature asks for your optional consent to use data in a particular way, that consent controls that use.
Feedback board and submissions
Mimzie may provide a public feedback board for feature requests, bug reports, comments, and votes. Feedback submitted there may be visible to other users, even if the board allows anonymous posting. Anonymous feedback is not private, and you should not include personal, sensitive, health, financial, confidential, or third-party information in public feedback.
By submitting feedback, you give Mimzie permission to host, display, moderate, remove, merge, tag, summarize, respond to, analyze, and use that feedback to operate, improve, and promote the Services without compensation to you. We may use service providers, including Feedbackland, to host and manage feedback boards.
AI is sometimes wrong
Mimzie uses AI, and AI can be wrong, incomplete, repetitive, confusing, or inappropriate. Do not rely on Mimzie as your only source of truth, safety guidance, medical advice, legal advice, or financial advice. You decide whether Mimzie is appropriate for your situation.
Subscriptions, fees, and the App Store
Some features may require a paid subscription, trial, or entitlement. Purchases are managed through the app store and RevenueCat. Billing, cancellation, refunds, renewals, taxes, and payment methods may be governed by Apple's terms, RevenueCat's terms, and any terms shown when you purchase. Unless required by law or app-store rules, fees are not refundable.
If you download Mimzie through Apple, these Terms are between you and Mimzie, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Services, but Apple may be a third-party beneficiary of the terms that apply to your use of the iOS app.
Updates and beta access
Mimzie may download updates or require updates to keep working. Beta access may be limited, changed, paused, or ended at any time. Beta features may be incomplete, unstable, unavailable, or different from what is described on the website.
Mimzie's rights
We own the Services, including our software, designs, names, logos, trade dress, content, and other intellectual property. Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Third-party services
The Services rely on third parties for hosting, authentication, billing, app distribution, notifications, product email, and feedback collection. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and privacy policies.
Account deletion and termination
You may stop using Mimzie at any time. The app includes an account deletion flow that removes your Mimzie data from our backend, including encrypted chat, encrypted memory, encrypted insights, device records, onboarding records, auth account links, and related sync records. Local cleanup may require signing out or uninstalling the app. Some records may remain where required for legal, billing, fraud-prevention, security, backup, or app-store reasons.
We may suspend, restrict, or end your access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for Mimzie, misuse the Services, or if we discontinue the Services.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mimzie disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, security, and uninterrupted operation.
We do not guarantee that Mimzie will detect crisis, self-harm, abuse, mental health conditions, medical conditions, or other safety issues. We are not obligated to report concerns to authorities or contact emergency services on your behalf.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mimzie and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal injury, emotional distress, or damages arising from reliance on AI output. Mimzie's total liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Mimzie for the Services in the three months before the claim or $100.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Mimzie changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
